KUIU introduces Yukon rain gear series

KUIU has announced the release of its Yukon rain gear series line, which includes a jacket, pant, glove and gaiter designed to be breathable, durable and quiet.

The foundation to the Yukon series is Dermizax®NX by TORAY, a waterproof breathable membrane, which is wind and waterproof, with as much as 200 percent stretch. The company says it’s twice as breathable as its closest competitor and as much as four times as breathable as other waterproof fabrics.

Development of the Yukon line began more than two years ago when KUIU Founder Jason Hairston began working with Alaskan Guide Lance Kronberger to create a system of rain gear Kronberger and his team of guides could not destroy while wearing every day during a season of 100-plus days in the Chugach Range of Alaska, according to a news release.  The Chugach Mountains are wet and steep, and create some of the most technically demanding conditions on the planet.
