ALAN HENRY Water lightly stained; 39–46 degrees; 13.3’ low. Black bass are fair on Texas rigs and Rat–L–Traps. No reports on crappie or catfish.

AMISTAD Water fairly clear; 62–66 degrees; 35.53’ low. Black bass are fair on Rat–L–Traps, spinnerbaits, and soft plastics in 18–25 feet. Striped bass are fair on jigging spoons. White bass are fair on jigging spoons and spinnerbaits. Catfish are good on trotlines baited with live perch. Yellow catfish are fair on trotlines baited with live perch. Everyone in a boat must have a Mexico fishing license (if fishing the Mexico side) whether fishing or not.

ARROWHEAD Water off color; 40–45 degrees; 15.83’ low. Catfish are fair on prepared bait, cut bait and nightcrawlers. One ramp open – few anglers out.

ATHENS Water clear; 45–49 degrees; 0.56’ low. Black bass are good on bladed jigs and lipless crankbaits in shad patterns. Crappie are good on minnows. Catfish are fair on trotlines.

BASTROP Water clear; 60–64 degrees. Black bass are fair on chartreuse/white soft plastics, spinnerbaits, and crankbaits. Crappie are slow. Channel and blue catfish are fair on stinkbait, chicken livers, and nightcrawlers. Yellow catfish are slow.

BELTON Water stained; 58–62 degrees; 9.18’ low. Black bass are slow. Hybrid striper are fair on live shad. White bass are slow. Crappie are slow. Channel and blue catfish are fair on nightcrawlers, doughbait, and stinkbait. Yellow catfish are slow. Zebra mussels have been found in this reservoir. Boats, livewells, and bait buckets must be drained of all water before leaving the area. Get details.

BOB SANDLIN Water clear; 47–51 degrees; 4.26’ low. Black bass are fair on Rat–L–Traps and Colorado blade spinnerbaits in white. Crappie are good on minnows. White bass are fair on slabs and minnows. Catfish are fair on cut shad.

BONHAM Water stained, 46–50 degrees; 1.74’ low. Black bass are fair on jerkbaits, crankbaits and shakyheads fished slowly around rocks. Crappie are good on minnows and jig under the bridges. Catfish are good on chicken liver in 8–18’.

BRAUNIG Water clear. Black bass are slow. Striped bass are fair on live shad and silver jigging spoons. Redfish are slow. Channel catfish are fair on liver, frozen shrimp, and cut shad. Blue catfish are slow.

BRIDGEPORT Water clear, 45–49 degrees; 20.61’ low. Black bass are slow on suspending jerkbaits and lipless crankbaits. Crappie are fair on jigs and minnows. White bass are fair on slabs. BUCHANAN Water stained; 59–63 degrees; 30.90’ low. Black bass are good on Texas rigged watermelon Scoundrel worms and blue back Fat Free Shads along points in 10–25 feet. Striped bass are good drifting live shad. White bass are fair jigging Tiny Traps and blade baits along main lake points. Crappie are slow. Channel catfish are slow. Yellow and blue catfish are slow.

CADDO Water stained; 47–50 degrees; 0.31’ high. Black bass are fair on Rat–L–Trap and bladed jigs. White and yellow bass are good on minnows. Catfish are fair on trotlines and cut shad. Special regulations are in effect for boaters and anglers on this lake. See Possession and Transport.

CANYON LAKE Water murky; 59–63 degrees; 7.68’ low. Black bass are good on watermelon red Brush Hogs and tubes on jigheads in 10–20 feet along bluffs. Striped bass are fair jigging Pirk Minnows. White bass are slow. Crappie are slow. Channel catfish are slow. Yellow and blue catfish are slow.

CEDAR CREEK Water clear; 45–50 degrees; 3.27’ low. Black bass are good on spinnerbaits, Rat–L–Traps and shallow crankbaits. White bass are good on slabs. Hybrid striper are good on minnows. Crappie are fair on jigs and minnow. Catfish are fair on trotlines and cut shad.

CHOKE CANYON Water clear; 65–69 degrees; 23.11’ low. Black bass are fair on pumpkinseed soft plastic worms in heavy grass in 12–20 feet. White bass are slow. Crappie are slow. Drum are slow. Channel and blue catfish are fair on punchbait. Yellow catfish are slow.

COLEMAN Water clear; 60–64 degrees; 15.59’ low. Black bass are slow. Hybrid striper are slow. Crappie are slow. Channel catfish are fair on frozen shrimp. Yellow catfish are slow.

COLETO CREEK Water stained; 78 degrees at hot water discharge; 4.42’ low. Black bass to 6 pounds are fair soft plastics in 8–10 feet. White bass are slow. Crappie are slow. Tilapia are slow. Channel and blue catfish are slow. Yellow catfish are slow.

COLORADO CITY 20.05’ low. No report available.

CONROE Water stained; 60–64 degrees; 1.25’ low. Black bass are slow. Striped bass are fair on silver striper jigs. Crappie are fair on minnows and white tube jigs. Catfish are slow.

COOPER Water clear; 60–65 degrees; 12.09’ low. Black bass are good on bladed jigs and shallow crankbaits. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs. White bass are good on slab and minnows. Hybrid striper are good on slabs. Catfish are good on trotlines.

FAIRFIELD Fishing has been slow since the fish kill in September of 2010. TPWD has discontinued stocking the lake after another kill in early September 2011. Redfish and black bass survived the kill in limited numbers.

FALCON Water clear; 65–69 degrees; 25.56’ low. Black bass are fair on football jigs, large soft plastic worms, 7” Carolina rigged Senkos, and slow rolling spinnerbaits in 14–18 feet. Striped bass are slow. Crappie are slow. Channel and blue catfish are fair on cut bait and doughbait. Yellow catfish are slow. GIBBONS CREEK Water clear. Black bass are slow. Crappie are fair on minnows and watermelon tube jigs. Catfish are fair on live bait and frozen shrimp.

GRANBURY Water stained; 57–61 degrees; 8.99’ low. Black bass are slow. Striped bass are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are fair on minnows. Catfish are fair on shrimp, stinkbait, and hot dogs.

GRANGER Water clear; 60–64 degrees; 0.63’ high. Black bass are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are slow. Blue catfish are good on juglines baited with shad and cut bait in 5–20 feet. Yellow catfish are slow.

GRAPEVINE Water clear; 44–48 degrees; 9.18’ low. Black bass are slow on Megabass Vision 110 suspending jerkbaits in wakasagi reaction. Crappie are fair near brush piles. White bass are fair on slabs. Catfish are good on cut shad and rod and reel.

HOUSTON COUNTY Water stained; 54–58 degrees; 0.19’ high. Black bass are good on watermelon Brush Hogs and Rat–L–Traps around stumps near drop offs. Crappie are fair on minnows near the dam in 15–18 feet. Bream are good on live crickets. Channel and blue catfish are slow. Yellow catfish are slow.

HUBBARD CREEK Water off color; 38–46 degrees; 21.85’ low. Black bass are fair on Texas rigs. Crappie are fair on minnows. Catfish are fair on nightcrawlers.
