The 2018 convention will be held Jan. 31-Feb. 3 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, with the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino as the headquarters hotel and location of evening banquets.

“We are excited to be able to hold the SCI Annual Hunters’ Convention in Las Vegas for the next seven years,” said Craig Kauffman, president of SCI, in the release. “Las Vegas is a great convention town. The combination of outstanding facilities and ease of travel in and out of Las Vegas make it the perfect place for our members to gather.

“The 2014 event is already shaping up to be one of the most exciting events SCI has ever held. Dubbed The Biggest and the Best, the convention is a yearly can’t miss gathering of hunters, conservationists, guides and outfitters from around the world.”

The convention joins another annual huge outdoor expo, the SHOT Show, as taking up residence in Sin City. The show is an annual staple at the Sands Expo and Convention Center, with the 2014 dates set for Jan. 14-17. It is sponsored and organized by the National Shooting Sports Foundation.
