Lake Ray Roberts to host Texas Team Trail fishing tournament April 6

The Texas Team Trail presented by Cabela’s will host its second event of the 2013 tournament season on April 6 at Lake Ray Roberts, located just north of the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex.

Anglers can secure an opportunity to pre-fish April 5 by completing their registration online or via phone prior to midnight  April 4. All anglers who pre-register will be entered into a drawing for a free Minn Kota Talon shallow water anchor.

Designed exclusively for team competition, the event offers anglers an unprecedented opportunity in terms of payout, sponsor bonuses and television coverage, according to a news release.

The Lake Ray Roberts event is the second of four 2013 qualifying events. The first-place prize for the event is a fully-rigged Stratos 189VLO with an Evinrude 150 HO package, valued at $25,000. The entry fee is $250, with multiple contingency bonus programs for anglers.

The trail’s championship tournament is set for October on Falcon Lake on the Mexican border.

On-site registration is set for 5-7 p.m.  April 5 at Elk’s Lodge (1601 Marina Circle, Sanger, TX 76266). The tournament will launch April , at safe light from Ray Roberts Marina and weigh-in will begin at the same location at 3 p.m.
